What they find nestled deep in a tight, isolated clearing is a pilot’s worst riddle: an intact, undamaged Bell 206 Jet Ranger standing completely silent and empty. No crash scars. No fire damage. Just a trail of footprints leading northeast into the thick, wild lion country toward the Mozambique border.

But while the team executes a daring, tree-skimming extraction in the bush, a completely different kind of trap is snapping shut across the border in Mozambique...

In a luxury apartment overlooking the lights of Maputo, international operator Sergei Reznikov just watched his empire vanish. His encrypted accounts have been violently hacked, eighty million dollars has been bled dry into a Swiss account, and a ghost from a past South African courtroom has just stood up from the grave.

The bank accounts are at zero, the shadows outside his window are moving, and a chilling message from his bookkeeper is still ringing in his ears:

"Someone is coming for you... And they know where you are."

Then come three slow knocks at his front door.
